Our Story

The idea of Upscale began in February 2019 when soon-to-be-PhD Evangeline Sessford found herself in Sandane and on the look out for a new occupation. With a background in Earth Science, and specifically research of past climates, Eva wanted to do something related to climate but with a more immediate and applicable feel. She also wanted to be creative in a way that is beneficial for her new hometown community of Sandane; both in an environmental and social sense. Enter the fashion industry.
